Having my girl starting Kindergarten this past year was a challenge , we had to get ready for a whole  new routine and also learn how to pack  healthy lunches which is one of my priorities,several months later I could assure you that Planet box is a life saver!

When Planet Box send me the Rover Set for a review I felt very excited, the first day that I send C's lunch on the Planet Box, she eat it all!!
Even her teachers complemented her lunch box because it is very practical and so easy to use by the kids.

Packing lunches could be a little stressful sometimes, specially when don't  have the right containers!From my own experience finding the right  lunch box or the right container wasn't easy. Since C started Kindergarten this year, I realized how poorly prepared I was. I tried to use the typical tapper ware stuff  that we already had at home but that didn't work, after doing some research I found that the best option out there are these easy lunch boxes! Since a while ago I've been trying to think of a way to build unit packs for C but I didn't have the computer tools or skills to make them, they just seemed to hard to understand and too time consuming for me, but when Liz from My Memories software offered me to make a review of her product I thought maybe I could use it as a good tool to build the units I have been wanting to make. Habla Español? Boca Beth Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to review the Boca Beth DVD "I Like Animals/Me gustan los animales" that came along with a  Bilingual Language Learning Color/Activity Book. The first time I played the dvd for C , she seemed to be  very into it, but she lost interest after half of the show. Days after that C asked me to play the Boca Beth Animals dvd for her, she started singing the songs and repeating  words from the show.She says she likes it.

                                                        

But what is Boca Beth?

Boca Beth is a bilingual (Spanish-English)show for children, showing other children singing and dancing in the show along with a yellow fun BOCA puppet, it's cute!

About the Coloring and Activity Book?

It shows the Boca Puppet, some animals and things around the house including  food with bilingual labels on  each page ready to be colored. The last page of this book shows you a list with 43 words in Spanish and English  with the pronunciation Kit (which I think it's very cool for a family who is just starting the language).

What do I think about it?

Most of you know that C is a bilingual child, very fluent in Spanish and English, I found the Boca Beth program a fun show for children who are starting to learn Spanish  or even children who starting to learn English, C is very advance for this program, like I say in the paragraph above this program uses very basic words, names of diferent animals and few verbs. If I could change one or two things, the first would  be the back ground. I think showing a  natural scenery instead of a studio background  with children playing naturally would be more fun and exciting for the children watching it. Second is the puppet, I will like Boca to  interact more with the viewer but on his own screen time.

But I like the idea of having Boca Beth as a part of our dvds to play from time to time and refresh C's spanish from time to time, maybe once or twice a month.

Will  Boca Beth teach your child Spanish?

I will say Boca Beth will help your children to pick some words in Spanish but I am not sure if your children will start speaking spanish fluently by watching the show.

I think it could be a  start and motivation for the family to play Boca Beth and learn some daily basic words in Spanish or English.

From my personal perspective children need to speak, listen and interact with the language on daily basis to be able to learn it.

Habla Español? Revision y Sorteo de Boca Beth



Tuve la oportunidad de revisar el programa  Boca Beth en dvd"Me gustan los animales /I like the animals" que viene junto con un Libro de actividades. La primera vez que puse el dvd para C, ella parecia estar interesada en este show, pero perdió el interés después de la mitad de la serie. Días después  C me pidió ver el show  Boca Beth por segunda vez , ella comenzó a cantar las canciones y a repetir las palabras del programa .Me dijo que le gustaba.

                        

Pero  que es Boca Beth?
Boca Beth es un programa bilingüe (Español-Inglés) para niños, que muestran otros niños cantando y bailando en el programa junto con una divertida marioneta BOCA amarillo, que es lindo!

 Sobre el libro de actividades?
Muestra dibujos de la marioneta Boca, algunos animales, cosas de la casa, incluyendo los alimentos con etiquetas bilingües en todas las páginas listas para ser coloreadas. La última página de este libro muestra una lista con 43 palabras en español y en Inglés con el kit de pronunciación (que creo que es muy bueno para una familia que está empezando el idioma).

¿Qué es lo que pienso de ello?
La mayoría de ustedes saben que C es una niña bilingüe, muy fluida en español y en Inglés, encontré al programa Boca  Beth un espectáculo divertido para los niños que están aprendiendo el Espanol  o incluso que empiezan  a aprender el Inglés, C esta muy adelantada para este programa, como digo en el párrafo anterior, este programa utiliza palabras básicas, los nombres de diferentes animales y algunos verbos. Si pudiera cambiar una o dos cosas, la primera sería el escenario donde muestra a otros ninos cantando las canciones y diciendo palabras, en mi opinion personal seria mejor mostrar un paisaje natural, en lugar de un estudio,con los niños actuando naturalmente, sería más divertido y emocionante para los ninos que ven el show. El segundo es el títere Boca, me gustaría que  Boca interactue más con el espectador.
 Pero me gusta la idea de tener Boca Beth a la mano  como parte de nuestras opciones para que de vez en cuando  C vea este programa y le refresque el vocabulario, tal vez una o dos veces al mes.

Boca Beth puede lograr que tu hijo hable el Español?
Voy a decir que Boca Beth ayudará a sus hijos a recoger algunas palabras en español, pero no estoy segura que sus hijos empiezan a hablar español con fluidez por ver simplemente el video.
Desde mi experiencia personal los ninos aprenden escuchando,repitiendo e interactuando con el idioma de una manera consecutiva y diaria para poder parender este.

Creo que podría ser un comienzo y una  motivación para que la familia vea  Boca Beth y aprenda algunas palabras básicas diarias en Español o Inglés.

 Yo lo  invito a visitar el sitio Boca de Beth y probar el programa para que usted  tenga  una mejor idea.

Time4Learning Review

Revision del Programa Time4Learning

I had the opportunity to review Time4Learning  which is an “online home education program that combines learning with fun educational teaching games.” Time4Learning is an online curriculum for children ages pre-k through 8th grade.
Time4Learning offers language, arts, math, social studies, science and more online activities for your child.
C had the chance to use this fun program  twice  a week for 20 minutes. The most important thing for me is when she has fun and she did!
The only thing I thought on making this easier for a three years old is the instructions whenever you choose and activity the instruction are a little too long for my three year old and she was a little confused. Besides this small detail I think it's very fun!

Tuve la oportunidad de revisar Time4Learning que es un "programa de educación en el hogar en línea que combina el aprendizaje con juegos divertidos de enseñanza educativa". Time4Learning es un plan de estudios en línea para niños de pre-kindergarten hasta el octavo grado .
Time4Learning ofrece  lenguaje, artes, matemáticas, estudios sociales, ciencias y más actividades en línea para su hijo.

C tuvo la oportunidad de utilizar este divertido programa dos veces por semana durante 20 minutos. Lo más importante para mí es que C se divierta y asi fue..la paso muy bien!El unico detalle que me parecio un poco confuso para C es que las instrucciones de cada actividad son muy largas y me hubeira gustado que sean mas especificas y cortas..al menos para ninos pequenos como el de C (3 años).
En lo general me gusto mucho , pasa por Time4Learning y checkealo.
