Hice una quesadilla de queso , corte las tortillas en forma de calabaza..mu esposo y C estaban entusiasmados

I really really really needed to share this cool idea with you my friends, I got it from Martha Steward Living Magazine ( I'm not a big fan of buying magazines...but my sewing machine that I bought a while ago came with a one year subscription).

No podia esperar a compartir esta idea con ustedes mis amigos, esta idea la obtuve en la revista Living  de Marta Steward (yo no soy fan de comprar revistas...pero hace un tiempo compre mi maquina de coser y vino con 12 meses de edicion de esta revista).

You will need some construction paper, greeting cards paper or anything else you want.

Necesitara catulina o cualquier tipo de papel que prefieras para la tarjeta.

You will also need a crafts knife and some dried leaves, which I took from my little C's collection.

 Tambien necesitaras una cortadora de manualidades y algunas hojas secas , que las tome de la coleccion de mi hija C.

You cut carefully the  facial features.

Corta las formas faciales de la hoja cuidadosamente.

I used tacky glue to paste them in the paper.To make the shape of the pumpkin leaf  you can use scissors.
And you will have beautiful Greeting cards!!! I love them.

Use pegamento tacky para poder pegarlas en el papel. Use tijeras para darle forma de calabaza a algunas de las hojas.
Y tendras unas hermosas tarjetas de la ocasion...Me encantan!!

I really enjoy working with leaves and flowers, you can make beautiful stuff using what mother nature has given us..

Me gusta mucho trabajar con hojas y flores, se puede hacer cosas muy hermosas usando lo que nos brinda nuestra madre naturaleza.

This is a really fun activity for C. She loves playing with water..I always prepare activities with water to make it fun for her and get her interest.

Water transferring using sponge and a lemon squeezer. This is an activity that can help to improve a child's grasps.

Esta es una actividad que C disfruto , a ella le encanta jugar con agua..siempre trato de preparar actividades con agua para que ella se divierta y poder captar su interes.

Transfiriendo agua usando esponjas con un exprimidor. Esta es una actividad que puede ayudar a mejorar  a sostener objectos en la manera adecuada.

My goodness I am almost 30 and this was the very first time I tried pumpkin ice cream....I can't imagine how many other things I haven't tried yet...

Es increible que tengo casi 30  años  y esta fue la primera vez que probe helado de calabaza..No puedo ni imaginarme cuantas cosas mas aun no eh probado...

Calabazas de Plastilina

We made some homemade play dough pumpkins, here is the link for the dough recipe. We add some cinnamon for a nice scent. C mixed all the ingredients and then built up her pumpkins.We did some math using this little  pumpkins.

Hicimos calabazas de plastilina casera, aqui esta la receta. Anadimos canela en polvo para que le de un aroma agradable.La pequena C mezclo los ingredientes y creo sus calabazas ella sola..le salieron muy monas!

Usamos estas calabazas para hacer matematicas.

Inspired by Pink and Green Mama we made this cute pumpkin using tissue paper and card box from cereal. Little C was very excited once she saw the final product. She was carrying this pumpkin around the house saying "I made my own pumpkin".

Inspirada por Rosa y Verde Mama  hicimos esta calabaza de papel cometa y usamos carton (para la base)de una caja de cereal reciclada.
La pequena C estuvo muy entusiasmada cuando vio como quedo su proyecto. Estuvo cargando su calabaza alrededor de la casa diciendo "Yo hice mi calabaza".

We also made this cool bat inspired by Filth  Wizardry blog. We used  red m&m for the spooky bat eyes!

Hicimos este murcielago inspirado en Filth  Wizardry blog. Usamos para los ojos chocolates m&m!

Orange..

Here C uses a large syringe to transfer liquid between containers and mix the colors read and yellow into the middle container. I recycled the glass vases from my kitchen (as usual :  ).

Transferencia de liquidos usando una jeringa mi pequena C mezla los colores rojo y amarillo (usamos colorante de comida )en el contenedor del medio. Recicle los emvases de mi cocina(como siempre : )

C wanted to taste the water with food coloring.

Mi C quiso saborear el agua....antes que nada!

 After transfer all the red and yellow water into the  same container she cleans up her little mess.

Despues de haber transferido el agua de color rojo y amarillo en el mismo emvase, C limpia su pequeno desorden.

 She finished the hole activity and she kept asking for some more.

C termino toda la actividad y me pidio mas.


We made this Halloween-Fall tree..I got the idea from Raising Ian blog (Unfortunately  the link is not longer on service).

We used a glass recycled container, then we put some orange tissue paper with glue.To make the leaves  we cut the orange paper (we painted  it with watercolor paint before cutting it). Finally we picked up some branches from our backyard to hang up the leaves. Tomorrow we will write our nice wishes for fall like love, friends,family,peace,nature,green..etc.

Hicimos este arbol de otono con acabados halloweenses (existe esta palabra???bueno si no, recien me la invente). Obtuve la idea del blog Raising Ian ( lamentablemente el enlace no esta en funcionamiento mas).Se utilizó un recipiente de vidrio reciclado, entonces poner un poco de papel de seda naranja con pegamento. Cortamos las  hojas del papel de color naranja (que previamente lo pintamos con pintura de acuarela). Finalmente, recogimos algunas ramas de nuestros arboles de nuestro patio trasero para colgar las hojas. Mañana vamos a escribir nuestros buenos deseos para el otoño como el amor, amigos, familia, paz, naturaleza, verde, alimentos etc ..

We enjoy doing activities with pumpkins. It is one of these holidays that children and grown ups have fun together.

Rainbow Star Wands

Varitas de colores en forma de estrellas

I made for C these wooden star wands, I bought the stars at Michael (local craft store) for $0.40 cents. each one. Then I bought a long wooden stick  for $0.80 cents.

Compre estas estrellas de madera en la tienda Michael por 40 centavos cada una. Y tambien compre una varita larga por 80 centavos.

Before I painted the stars I put them in water and let them soak for 20 minutes,then I painted them with our water color paints. ( I painted them for both sides).

Daddy cut the stick in four pieces to make the wands, notched out the ends then we glued the stars to the sticks using wood glue.

Here is the finish product!!

Antes de pintar las estrellas, las remoje en agua por 20 minutos, luego las pinte  usando acuarelas, por ambos lados.

Papa corto la varita larga en 4 varitas pequenas, las ranuro por un extremo, insertamos la estrella y la pegamos con pegamento de madera.

Aqui esta nuestro producto final!!

I made these numbers  from 0-10 in sand paper..C puts the correct amount of little cute pumpkin erasers.

Hice estos numeros del 1-10 en papel de lija. Mi C cuenta y pone la cantidad correcta de pequenos borradores en forma de calabaza en el numero correcto.

Sorting colors, we use silk flowers this time.

Clasificando los colores en grupos, usando hojas de seda.

Spooning  exercise in our little pumpkins.

Actividad de transferencia usando una cuchara en nuestras pequenas calabazitas.

To develop fingers muscles, we use this paper clips in this little box.

Para reforzar el desarrollo de los musculos de los dedos, utilizamos estos ganchos de papel  que no son muy faciles de enganchar en la cajita.

For language activities, C  labeled  Daddy's face. She was very excited whith this one!!

Como actividad de lenguaje, C coloco el cartel con los nombres en la cabeza de papa. Se divirtio mucho con esta activdad!



Halloween Sensory Box

Here is our Halloween Sensory Box.
Aqui esta nuestra Caja Sensorial del Dia de Halloween.

I put some black beans,pinecones,felt pumpkins,pipe cleaners,beads,silk leaves, clothes pins,spoon, feathers,little bowl, pon pons,  hearts.

Use frejoles negros,calabazas de fieltro,limpiadores de pipa,cuentas, hojas de seda, ganchos,cuchara,plumas,pompones,corazon, recipiente.

C doesn't seem very interested in the sensory boxes I prepare for her, she plays with them for a very short time and the next day she doesn't even look at them. I think I will have to find some other cool stuff to put inside the boxes so it gets her attention. We will see.

Mi C no muestra mucho interes en las cajas sensoriales que preparo para ella, ella juega con ellas por un dia y por unos pocos minutos y al siguiente dia no muestra nada de interes en ellas. Tengo que obtener nuevas y entretenidas cosas que ponder en las cajas para captar mas su atencion, me parece. Veremos.

I made this table mat for C, it will help her to learn how to set up the table, she sets up the table everyday at dinner time.

Hice este tapete de mesa para mi C,le ayudara a tener una idea de como poner los utensilios de mesa en forma correcta. C tiene como obligacion poner la mesa todos los dias a la hora de la cena.

Here are some new fall activities I prepared for little C days ago....so far she loved them all!! These activities are great for hand-eye coordination, concentration levels ,develop fine motor skills,hand strength,balance and the ability to do things themselves.

Estas son algunas nuevas actividades de otono que prepare para  C ....y todas le encantaron! Estas actividades son buenas para la coordinacion ojo-manual,niveles de concentracion, desarrollo de la motricidad fina, fuerza de la mano, equilibrio y la habilidad de hacer cosas por si solos.

Stamping in paper using Halloween  stamps.

I made these little felt pumpkins ,C is transferring pumpkins.

Hice estas pequenas calabazas de fieltro, C  esta transfiriendo las pequenas calabazas.

C needs to put the Halloween toothpicks on this styrofoam .These toothpicks have pumpkins and ghosts pictures, after she was done putting all these on the foam, she puts them back in the bowl and count how many ghosts  and how many pumpkins are.

C coloca los palillos de dientes en esta pieza de tecnopor reciclada.Estos palillos tienen figuras de calabazas y fantasmas, despues que C puso todos ellos en el tecnopor ,conto cuantas calabazas hay y cuantos fantasmas hay.

Felt Flowers Crown

Corona de Flores de Fieltro

I made this cool felt beautiful flowers for C, here  is the video tutorial. I liked them so much that I decided to make a crown with them. Here  is what you need.

Hice estas bonitas flores de fieltro para C, aqui esta el video de la tutoria. Me gustaron mucho que se me ocurrio en hacer una corona con ellas. Aqui en la foto esta lo que necesitaran.

Here we glue the stripes of felt on the wire.

Aqui pegamos las piezas largas de fieltro en el alambre.

All around the wire..

Al rededor de toda la corona de alambre..

Then we glue the flowers one by one in the crown.

Luego pegamos las flores de fieltro en la corona una a una.

Your beautiful  crown is ready!!

Y listo!! Te quedo una hermosa corona de flores!

C loves to play with her crown and her silk capes ,almost everyday!

A mi C le encanta jugar con su corona y sus capas de seda a diario!

I also made other flower and added some elastic ribbon to the flowers to use them as hairbands.

Tambien hice mas flores y les agregue cinta elastica para usarlas como sujetadores de cabello.
